We are Back!

ArtHouse Live opens its 2008 season May 1 with Divorce Southern Style written by Jennifer Jarrett and directed by Julia Burr.
This high-stakes, fast-paced comedy stars Maureen Curtin as Eleanor Bander, a wealthy philanthropist in a financial crash and burn. Taking creative problem solving to its pinnacle, she devises a way out of her crisis. Our heroine is not the type of woman to let a little detail like divorce stand in her way. Eleanor's daughter, Elizabeth (Felicia Tuttle), traumatized by a bad wedding-dress shopping experience, calls off her wedding. Her fiance, Vince Sigmon (Ryan Finch), is beside himself. Walter (Paul Dahlen), Eleanor's ex-husband, gets the idea that grandchildren are imminent. He rushes back "home" to help Elizabeth with her "condition," meet Vince and go toe to toe with Eleanor once again.Eleanor's neighbor, Elma Blue Williams (Ruth Cooney), is her best friend, worst influence and best audience.Walter's wannabe girlfriend, Gretchen Hiller (Kathy Nor-man) keeps a close eye on Eleanor; and the adorable, opportunistic optometrist Dr. Abernathy (Bill Webb) wields a wicked roving eye.
