More outside press....(see p. 2) This was nice to see.....we take our role here seriously,
and I have to admit that its nice when we get noticed.
The beginning. Our 1st audition notice......
Gus's (we've since learned there is no apostrophe S) was a bar my Dad owned, and is where
Brandon, Tim and I met each other. Only three people came out...fortunately we only needed
one person. Thanks again to Groundhog, Jen and Sean for helping us start this thing.
The locals take notice. The story here was Tim and Vin's collaboration and the way they
meticulously dedicated themselves to this script. They seemed to be the only ones around
who understood the enormity of the undertaking that producing this show involved, and they
kept pushing and pushing until the show got as close to where it should be as possible.
Thank you David for not letting that moment be the proverbial tree in the woods.
Outside press! This is the moment we started to think to ourselves.... uh, maybe there is something
a little bigger going on here. Actually, that moment probably hit the first year we did Christmas
Carol and the cast got a standing ovation from a sold out crowd of 400 plus. This clipping just
qualified that feeling. I'll never forget reinventing this show after the Black Monday tech
rehearsal. Thanks to those who were there (until 3 or 4 in the morning if I remember correctly)
that was the true spirit of the old company. Also a huge thanks to Don Wiswell and Vin Brown for
providing a Scrooge and Marley combo good enough for anywhere.
Our first feature. I still hate Shakespeare, I still want this to be fun, and I'm still glad I
don't consider myself artsy- although I think I can probably express all of that that better now.
- Thanks Pete
